The Africa Collection brings together scholarly articles about Africa and by African authors. It represents a concerted effort to create, publish, and promote first aid education science and practice grounded in African contexts. Through this Collection, the IJFAE aims to:
- Serve as a platform that elevates and champions African voices, collaborations, and scholarship in the field
- Support authors to deliver research that is contextualized to the diverse needs and practices within African communities
- Accelerate the practical application of evidence-based first aid education and science across the continent
Key, relevant research themes include, but are not limited to: cultural, religious and ethical aspects of first aid education; environmental and climate-related emergencies; maternal, neonatal and child emergencies; road traffic crashes and bystander first aid; community health and occupational safety.
